A little bit about Shayla

I grew up in the hair business. I knew this was my passion at a young age and 30 years later I still love it. Lucky for me, I had the pleasure of learning from my mom.  My mom and I opened the salon, Strands, in 1997.  In 2020, my mom retired after 53 years. The same year, I became full owner. It was exciting but scary, giving 100% as a mom and a salon owner! I knew that I had the tools and the team for success.

I think my biggest attribute is that I am genuine. What you see is what you get. I love learning. I get the most from listening to clients. I enjoy learning what their needs are, from what they want with their hair to their personal lives. I love it - it pushes me to be better, personally and professionally.

I want to make sure I listen and create a hairstyle that embraces your lifestyle and maintenance needs.  From high quality products to modern hair color, lived in hair, and precision cuts, I am here and excited to meet you.
